The Cuban chain originated in Miami during the hip-hop jewelry movement of the 1970s. It’s sometimes referred to as the Miami Cuban link chain and can still be seen around the necks of hip-hop artists today. Links in Cuban chains are more tightly connected, creating less movement than you’ll see in curb chains. This chain is semi-solid 14K yellow gold, allowing for a lighter chain.
